Hârn: Brotherhood of the Forest
The Khuzdul are a race of civilized people, often called dwarves by humans, who inhabit the fortress Kingdom of Azadmere. The Khuzdul are short but stout. They are usually around four feet in height, but are broad and dense in build. Although not fast on foot, they have legendary stamina, and can wear extremely heavy armor and function in combat.
The Khuzdul are masters of metal work, and taught the craft to humans thousands of years ago. Even so, humans have not met the khuzan standard, and their weapons and armor are superior and extremely expensive. They also craft beautiful jewelry, cut stones, and are expert masons. Some of the finest structures on Harn were built under the guidance of a Khuzan architect.
The khuzdul are long lived, although not immortal, and are famous for their acquisitiveness. They are mildly xenophobic, but that may have to do more with their history than an inborn trait. The Khuzdul often prefer to let humans conduct trade for them, but an occasional merchant can be found in Kaldor or even further from Azadmere conducting business.
